Our Shelter provides a haven for women escaping domestic violence and homelessness. At HKWS, we offer wraparound care and outreach services that help women rebuild their lives, including: safe accommodation, counselling and support services, employment pathways, financial advice and wellbeing programs, legal assistance, advocacy and community education.

HKWS is so much more than just a bed for the night, we offer hope and a fresh start. Every day, we witness the resilience and strength of women who, with the right support, overcome significant challenges and are empowered to create a brighter future.
We also support Beecroft House, a transitional home where women over the age of 55 can live securely for up to two years while they find more permanent accommodation. This extended support period allows women the time and stability they need to rebuild their lives and transition to independent living. Domestic violence is the leading cause of homelessness for women aged 55+.
